10.6.16. Cardiff Castle Trip
Year 3 had an extremely interesting day at Cardiff Castle today. They enjoyed the WW2 workshop, the air raid shelter tour and learning songs from WW2. We were lucky to witness the 12 gun salute while we were there, in honour of Prince Philip's birthday, a marvelous opportunity. We would like to thank all the parents and carers for their support in providing the children with an evacuee outfit, they looked delightful and it really added to the whole experience. Please take take a look at the photos on the gallery.
26.04.16 Year 3 read reference books about the human body to research relevant information. They used the contents, index and glossary to extract interesting and fun facts on different body organs. Click here to see them hard at work.
18.3.16 We had lots of fun this week! Year 3 have taken part in the can flip challenge, made balloon rockets and learned lots about the moon in a science workshop. Take a look in our photo gallery for the pictures.

19.1.16. Update.
3W enjoyed a super day at Cog Moors, the sun shone and the children learnt a great deal about saving water. A successful trip all round. A very big thank you to Mrs. Bowden and our parent helpers for their support and participation. Please take a look at the year 3 gallery to see photos from the trip.
Update 18.1.16.
Following the year 3 Curriculum talk, the website links requested can be found on a document under ' Letters To parents'.
We hope this is helpful.
11.12.15 Year 3 looked at light in paintings. We looked at Turner's famous painting of Venice. First they practised colour mixing using blues and yellows. Then they drew the skyline on paper and tried to add perspective. Next they started painting their own versions of Turner's painting. Take a look in our gallery, and watch this space for the final masterpieces.
Take a look at our year 3 gallery to see lots of interesting photos of class 3W and 3RB.
