Creative Dance
Year 5 have been enjoying creating their own dance routines this week during their indoor PE sessions.
Grand Pier- Weston-Super-Mare
Year 5 had a fantastic day at the Grand Pier. After spending this half term learning all about forces, momentum, gravity and friction they got the chance to experience them for themselves. We started with a talk about the rides, how they work and what forces were used. Then the children had 2 hours to try out as many rides as they could.
Science Week
Year 5 really enjoyed science week and had a go at some fun experiments such as Catch a Rainbow and finding out what happens to flowers and celery when they are put in coloured water.
Story Telling and Writing Workshop.
Year 5 were lucky today to have a visit from Rob Lewis, a children's author, who spoke to them about how to write and tell stories and also gave them a quick class in painting.
Art Gallery
Year 5 would like to thank all who attended our art gallery yesterday. We really enjoyed showing off our talents and selling our work. We raised a fantastic £123.11 to go towards our school trip fund.
Trip to Cardiff Museum
Year 5 had a lovely day at the Museum today looking at a variety of art movements and artist and also listening to a talk about Welsh Landscapes. We also had some time to sketch some of our favourite pieces.
Digital Art

Class 5W had a fantastic day at the Sky Sports, Youth Sports Academy taster day. They took part in a variety of sporting activities and games and got the chance to meet a selection of athletes who have achieved high levels in their chosen sports.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
