This week 6H and 6V have been learning all about adverts and script writing. They have worked with their learning partners to create their very own futuristic products and written scripts in preparation for filming their own adverts. Ask your children about their products, there are some very clever and imaginative ideas.
Week commencing 28th September we are planning to focus on the history of Lego and learn all about stop frame animation. The children will have the opportunity to plan and create their very own 'Lego Movie Clips.' In order for us to carry this out we ask that if the children have their own Lego at home could they bring in a small labelled bag on Monday 28th September. These will be left in their bags for two days. Each pupil will have a marked area on their desk for them to work in and their own ipad. They will not be allowed to share Lego. If you do not have any Lego at home please let us know via dojo, as we have a small amount available in school.

Hello Blwyddyn 6!
Due to Corona virus, School Council will not be able to meet as normal this year. As a result we will be taking School Council online using Flipgrid.
Therefore, we will be using Flipgrid for our School Council applications. Follow the link for your class below to upload your video application. Make sure you look at the deadline for your class so you don't miss out.
We look forward to seeing your applications,
Miss Davies and Mrs Jenkins
Tuesday 8th September
It has been fantastic having all the children back in school. We have been been very busy in Year 6. I hope the children have shared with you what we have been up to. Both teachers are now linked to dojo and we hope that you have all managed to sign up. Please do not hesitate to contact us via the dojo link if you wish to get in contact with us.
Today the children have been introduced to 'Kidblog.' They all know how to access this. If you look at the 'Kidblog' star you will see their challenges and when we expect them to be completed by.
Matheletics will be introduced to the pupils next week. We will ensure they know their logins and passwords and we will expect them to achieve a minimum of 1500 points each week. Homework and challenges will be set every Monday and the cut off time will be Sunday evening.
To begin we will be basing our homework on topic words that the children will need to use for their writing during the following week. Spelling tests will be every Friday.
Any other tasks we expect the children to complete at home we will ensure that either dojo or send a letter and the website will be updated with the relevant information that you will need.
The children are aware of how to find and access Kidblog. Keep checking the Kidblog star on our webpage. Here you will find the challenges, deadlines and how many words we expect the children to write.
